UFC 229 results: Conor McGregor vs Khabib live stream play-by-play updates

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to “Sin City” this Sat. night (Oct. 6, 2018) with its UFC 229: “Khabib vs. McGregor” pay-per-view (PPV) mixed martial arts (MMA) event, held inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, with select “Prelims” undercard bouts coming to you by way of FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass digital network. As the name suggests, UFC 229 is headlined by the lightweight championship title fight pitting reigning division kingpin Khabib Nurmagomedov opposite ex-lightweight titleholder Conor McGregor. The victor is likely to fight the winner of Tony Ferguson vs. Antony Pettis, which co-headlines the UFC 229 extravaganza and serves as “El Cucuy’s” first bout inside the cage since last spring’s devastating knee injury. Also, Derrick Lewis could punch his way into the next heavyweight title shot by turning away Bellator import and streaking 265-pound contender Alexander Volkov.

Not by a long shot. will deliver LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire UFC 229 fight card below, starting with the Fight Pass “Prelims” matches online, which are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. ET, then the remaining undercard balance on FOX Sports 1 at 8 p.m. ET, before the PPV main card start time at 10 p.m. ET.

McGregor vs Khabib: How to Watch UFC 229 Live Stream Online without Cable

How to watch Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov UFC 229 on Saturday
In less than a week’s time, Conor McGregor will return to the octagon for the first time in over two years in a UFC lightweight title bout against Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The Irishman has not fought competitively since losing to Floyd Mayweather in a multi-million dollar boxing match in August 2016.

This weekend’s mixed martial arts bout, one of the most eagerly anticipated in recent years, is being shown live on BT Sport – before online streaming service Eleven Sports take over UFC rights from January 2019 onwards.

Broadcast restrictions mean that fans in the UK who are subscribed to UFC Fight Pass will not be able to watch the bout live, so only BT Sport subscribers will be able to see the action live.

McGregor and the undefeated Nurmagomedov will go head-to-head in another press conference this Thursday at 11pm, with the main event scheduled to take place at around Sunday 4am UK time.
In their last meeting to promote the UFC 229 main event, McGregor launched an incredible tirade against his Russian opponent, making light on an incident for which McGregor was sentenced to five days community service.

McGregor claimed Khabib would be “dead right now” if the Russian had got off the bus, which the Irishman attacked in April this year.

“I came back for the love of this, to come and shut this man up – a little rat, a little weasel, a little hard man in groups,” said McGregor.
“A man who grows in numbers but on his own and when confronted in a similar situation, cowers away. Did you not see me outside the bus? I showed you my hands – no weapons.

“To let him know I came unarmed. Step off the bus. You talked the big game, now I’m here. He done nothing. Hid and cowered behind women and caused what happened to happen.

“I just thank the Lord Jesus Christ that that man had not got the balls to step foot off that bus, or that the bus door did not open, because if that bus door had opened, this man would be dead right now.

“He would be in a box and I would be in a cell and we would not have this great fight ahead of us.”

Nurmagomedov responded: “I’m going to maul you. After this fight he is going to go back to boxing,” attempting to laugh off McGregor’s aggression.

“You come for money, I come for legacy.”
